Elite Eight Complete

Men’s and Women’s Forecast pages now reflect the Elite-Eight-complete state.
Published

April 1, 2026

The Elite Eight is complete on both tracks, and the public Forecast pages now reflect the full _e8 / Elite-Eight-complete state.

Men

The men’s anchor entry (E01) now sits at 810 points, 6th of 10, with 42/60 picks correct through R64 + R32 + S16 + E8. The portfolio is still alive, but the title surface is much narrower than it was one round ago: only 6 of 10 champion picks remain alive, and the surviving title paths are now concentrated in Michigan, Arizona, and Illinois.

The defining Elite Eight miss was UConn over Duke in the East regional final. That was the biggest structural hit of the round on either public track: it killed the Duke champion sleeve across four entries, drove the men’s read further below its chalk-aligned historical stage baseline, and left the portfolio needing a smaller surviving title set to carry the finish.

Women

The women’s anchor entry (W-E01) now sits at 1,040 points, 2nd of 10, with 49/60 picks correct through R64 + R32 + S16 + E8. The women’s portfolio remains in a stronger live position: 9 of 10 champion picks are still alive, and the surviving title paths still run through UConn, Texas, UCLA, and South Carolina.

The Elite Eight itself was clean on this track: 0 upsets, 0 consequential misses, and all four surviving title paths made it through. The main structural wound is still the earlier Duke over LSU Sweet 16 result, not anything new from the regional finals, so the women’s benchmark-relative read held up better than the men’s at this stage.

For the full live-state tables, benchmark context, consequential-miss audit, and final synthesis, see the refreshed Men’s Forecast and Women’s Forecast pages.
